Taos High School holds career fair

Taos High School hosted one of their largest fairs of the year with the 2019 Taos Connect: College/Transition/Career Fair.

The fourth annual event brought over 80 exhibitors to the Taos High School Gym Wednesday (Feb 13) for the nearly 900 students who participated in the event. Students from the middle school and high school levels from across the county walked through the fair and were able to speak with representatives in the fields and universities who brought booths.

"This event is design to have students interact with professionals in a wide variety of career paths,” said Taos High School Principal Robbie Trujillo. " This gives the students the "real-world" answers to how to enter and what a specific career choice is like."

Exhibitors from across the county and state turned out for the fair, including law enforcement, healthcare and education professionals. Students were given the chance to explore their options for after school and were able to speak with their possible future employers.
