Charles “Jim” Cox  is a Taos artist, photographer, farm manager and Vet Corps member.

“Much of my artwork in the mediums of oil, acrylic and pencil illustration has been inspired by 30 years of living in the Southwestern United States near and among Native American indigenous people. My photography has become my footprint in the Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado area.

“My love for art has been lifelong, but it wasn't until the year 2002 — after receiving a diagnosis of a potentially terminal illness — that I began a full commitment to my passion for art, a commitment that I feel helped me survive and overcome that illness.

“Five-year commitment to graduating in Dec. 2013 from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with the assistance of the University of New Mexico with a Fine Arts photography degree with a minor in journalism.”
