Viola Olguin

Age 91, from Rio Lucio, New Mexico, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt went peacefully with her Lord on Monday, December 2, 2019.

She is preceded in death by her husband Teodoro Olguin Sr., sons Johnny, Gerson, Tobias, and Teodoro Olguin Jr., grandson Donald Esquibel Jr.

She is survived by her children Mable Trujillo, Felix & Emily Olguin, James & Ruth Olguin, Roger & Liz Olguin, Thelma Esquibel, Bernice & Ernie Garcia, Diana & Joe Brown, Hilda & Todd Cook, Donald Olguin & Dean, Emlyn Olguin & Steven Vigil, daughter-in-law Olga Olguin, 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, as well as sisters Delia Lopez, Elsie Gonzales, brother Anival Rodriguez, and many other loving family members.

Viola's strength was monumental, she was devout in her catholic faith and a loyal patron of St. Anthony's church in Penasco. She loved tending to her flower and vegetable gardens as it brought her great joy, she enjoyed baking, watching Lobo sports and cheering on the Denver Broncos.

She was a volunteer at Penasco elementary school for many years. Viola will forever be cherished and remembered for her incredible spirit.

Services will take place at San Antonio De Padua Church in Penasco, NM. Rosary will be recited Thursday, December 12 at 1:00 pm and at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be December 13 at 1:00 pm. The family has entrusted the care of their loved one to Riverside Funeral Home of Albuquerque, (800) 956-9995.
