Taos Air touches down at Taos Regional Airport Thursday (Dec. 20)

Posted

On Thursday (December 20), a full flight of thirty passengers disembarked from the first Taos Air plane to land at Taos Regional Airport. The inaugural flight was scheduled to arrive at 9:30 a.m., but touched down shortly thereafter. Additionally, the charter flight arrived in a plane that was not branded with Taos Air name and logo.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony included speeches, one of which was given by town of Taos Mayor Dan Barrone, who himself had been a passenger on the flight.

"We have been working on this for over thirty years. This is something that we thought would really enhance our community, enhance economic development," Barrone said.
