Taos boys soccer wraps up with two wins
Taos boys soccer wrapped up its nondistrict schedule with a 3-1 win over Hatch Valley on Sept. 28. The Tigers also defeated Pagosa Springs, 10-0, on the road in Colorado, bringing their overall record to 9-1-1 before district matches come up.
Taos sits in second place in the 4A standings behind Los Lunas, which holds an 11-1 record. The Tigers' next match will be against the Los Alamos Hilltoppers (10-3) on Oct. 8 on the road - it will be both teams' first district match of the season.
Taos girls soccer enjoy back-to-back wins
The Taos girls soccer team won its last two matches this season against the likes of Hatch Valley and West Las Vegas, bringing the Lady Tigers' overall record to 7-2-2 on the season.
The Lady Tigers will enter district play when they host Los Alamos on Oct. 8 at Taos Eco Park. Taos girls soccer currently sits in third place in the 4A girls soccer standings.
Taos volleyball splits doubleheader
The Lady Tigers volleyball team split a pair of matches on Saturday (Sept. 28) in the Peyton Chavez Tournament in Portales. They won their first match with a sweep of Ruidoso, 3-0, and lost their second match later in the day, 3-1, to Clovis. Taos volleyball (7-4) will now start district play when it travels to Pojoaque Valley for the beginning of district play.
Questa volleyball defeats Mesa Vista
On Friday (Sept. 25), the Questa volleyball squad swept Mesa Vista in straight sets. Questa took the first set with ease, winning it 25-15. In the second set, the Lady Wildcats were able to win by two points, 25-23, and in the third set they won 25-18.
