The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Nov. 7-12.
Nov. 7
8:09 a.m. Narcotics offense juvenile, Taos Middle School – An officer requested a case number for a possession of marijuana case.
8:11 a.m. Domestic disturbance, Shell – A woman was trying to choke a man at a bus stop in the area.
9:18 a.m. Traffic accident, private property, Walmart – A driver had hit a Coca Cola truck in the parking lot.
10:02 a.m. Welfare check, Camino de la Placita – A man was sleeping in the sun near the intersection.
11:01 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Roman Court – A caller said a man was lurking around her house. Then she told the officer she had made a post about free furniture at her home a week ago. The man said he was interested in the furniture.
11:17 a.m. Animal noise, Montoya Street – A dog had been barking in the area from midnight to early in the morning.
1:32 p.m. Larceny, Cohn Lane – A caller said her son had stolen her pills.
2:06 p.m. Law, unknown problem, Taos Police Department – A walk-in said workers with the road department were throwing leftover items from their work onto his vacant lot.
8:33 p.m. Burglary commercial, Plaza North – A caller said he could hear someone trying to break into his building.
Nov. 8
12:52 a.m. Assault, Goat Springs Road - Caller said an intoxicated man was on the property and they wanted him removed.
4:01 a.m. Animal noise, Las Cruces Road - A neighbor’s dog had been barking since 2 a.m.
7:45 a.m. Battery, Taos Charter School - Caller wanted to report their son was beaten up at school the previous day.
8:18 a.m. Larceny, Camino de la Serna - Caller said their mother-in-law has their EBT card and wanted an officer to help them.
8:59 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Camino de la Placita - A caller said a woman with no shoes and loose pants climbed a wall and tried to grab a man’s glasses off his face.
10:10 a.m. Suspicious circumstance, Paseo del Pueblo Sur - A person with a pink shirt and black pants was urinating on a building.
11:26 a.m. Criminal damage, Kit Carson Road - Caller said they thought someone had stabbed their tire.
3:41 p.m. Shots fired, Ricky’s Comidas - Caller said they heard shots near Ricky’s.
10:09 p.m. Suspicious circumstances, Shell - Caller said a van had been parked at the pump for 30 minutes. No one had gotten out of the van or paid for gas.
Nov. 9
9:16 a.m. Criminal damage, Kit Carson Park - A caller said someone had broken into one of the old bathrooms.
1:54 p.m. Larceny, Super 8 - Caller said a silver ring was taken about two weeks ago.
3:51 p.m. Harassment, Taos Mesa Brewery - A man in the bar was being belligerent and bothering the guests and employees.
4:01 p.m. Information, McDonald’s - There was an altercation over a child in the parking lot.
4:26 p.m. Welfare check, Big 5 - Caller was looking for a man who might be behind the building and wanted to check on him because “it’s going to be cold.”
9:20 p.m. Welfare check, Holy Cross Hospital - Caller said their mother left the hospital and was still dizzy. The woman was on foot when she left.
Nov. 10
10:10 a.m. Animal stray, Guadalajara Grill - A German shepard was running around the road.
10:36 a.m. Shoplifting, Albertsons - Caller said a young male had stolen liquor.
11:00 a.m. Welfare check, Taos Youth and Family Center - Caller was requesting a check on a man wearing a cowboy hat sitting on the curb.
11:31 a.m. Motor vehicle theft, Weimer Road - Caller said their white Trailblazer was stolen while they were in the shower.
12:52 p.m. Traffic hazard, Alexander Road - A gathering of some sort was blocking traffic in the street.
9:02 p.m. Domestic disturbance, Ace Hardware - Caller said two men were fighting near the business.
Nov. 11
1:36 a.m. Domestic disturbance, Kit Carson Road - A couple was yelling and creating a disturbance.
3:04 a.m. Welfare check, Gusdorf Road - Caller said their daughter left home and may have been headed down Dolan Street.
2:52 p.m. Traffic hazard, Cantu Hill - Vehicles were getting stuck on the hill.
3:39 p.m. Criminal damage, Toalne Road - Caller said someone had broken into the building, and the screen had been sliced.
8:19 p.m. Harassment, Gusdorf Road - A caller said a man was bothering her.
11:15 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Centinel Bank - A man was hitting a woman.
Nov. 12
8:55 a.m. Traffic hazard, Subway - A caller said plumbers were plowing snow into the roadway and wanted them to stop.
12:59 p.m. Information - A man wanted to join honor guard but was unsure due to a felony on his record.
1:42 p.m. Criminal damage, Camino del Medio - Caller said someone was driving fast and hit their fence.
3:41 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Bent Street - A suspicious package was found on the ground.
3:53 p.m. Larceny, Paseo del Pueblo Norte - Caller said their wallet was stolen.
5:13 p.m. Unknown, Mariposa Lane - Caller said they were in an argument with their son, and someone tried to pick up their son.
7:12 p.m. Walmart - A man was loitering in the parking lot and was asked to leave.
8:28 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Kachina Lodge - A woman was trying to get into a room.
