The following is a condensed version of Taos Police reports from Dec. 26-31.

Dec. 26

1:39 a.m. Theft of motor vehicle, El Taoseño – A stolen vehicle was reported near the restaurant. Responding law enforcement detained a male individual and took him to the Taos County Adult Detention Center. A tow truck was called to retrieve the vehicle.

9:35 a.m. Criminal damage, Walmart - Caller said they went out during a break and found a scratch on their car door.

10:08 a.m. Fraud-forgery, Allsup's - An officer was flagged down about some fraudulent checks.

12:15 p.m. Criminal damage, Tierra Montoso - Caller said the back window of their car was broken.

6:16 p.m. Animal Abuse, Valverde Commons Drive - Called wanted more information about the animal laws and if there were regulations about animals in the snow.

6:18 p.m. Disorderly conduct, Holy Cross Hospital - A "disgruntled patient" was harassing the staff.

7:41 p.m. Theft of a motor vehicle, Calvary Court - Caller's spouse took their vehicle without permission and was not returning calls or texts.

10:16 p.m. Suspicious circumstance, Taos Dental Group - A silver Expedition was parked in the back of the building.

Dec 28

8:14 a.m. Welfare check, Via Manzana - Caller said someone tried to break into their home and was away for vacation.

8:31 a.m. Unknown problem, Peralta Street - Caller said their landlord was trying to kick them out of their house and that they had a note to be able to stay.

9:06 a.m. Animal stray, Este Es Road - Two dogs were hanging out in the cold.

2:26 p.m. Trespassing, Video Casa - Caller said they got into an argument with a "vagrant" and wanted to speak to an officer.

5:21 p.m. Information, Gusdorf Road - Caller said they gave $4,000 away via money gram.

6:17 p.m. Harassment, Walmart - A woman was threatening the caller and said she was going to shoot the caller's family.

Dec. 30

10:14 a.m. Lockout, Juniper Road - A child was locked in a running car.

11:39 a.m. Fraud, Smith's - A customer tried using a fake $50 bill.

3:05 p.m. Trespassing, Herdner Road - A man was asked to leave twice.

4:29 p.m. Traffic hazard, Peralta Street - A pile of belongings was in the middle of the road.

5:50 p.m. Welfare check, Paseo del Cañon - A man was walking in and out of the gutters.

11:48 p.m. Gunshot, Holy Cross Hospital - The hospital was put on lockdown.

Dec 31

4:59 a.m. Disorderly conduct, Sagebrush - A man "high on something" was in the lobby and not a guest.

7:38 a.m. Welfare check, Camino de la Placita - A man was screaming vulgarities.

7:44 a.m. Disorderly conduct, Albright Street - Two men were kicking the bus station and hit the windows.

4:58 p.m. Shoplifting, Smith's - A woman was stealing beer and body gel.

8:35 p.m. Welfare check, Vegas de Taos - Caller's boyfriend was drunk and banging on the door.

10:03 p.m. Disturbing the peace, El Cerrito Apartments - Neighbors were playing loud music.

Jan. 1

12:37 a.m. Domestic disturbance, Calle del Sol - A man was "acting crazy" and trying to hit children.

12:47 a.m. Domestic disturbance, Camino de la Placitas - A couple was fighting in the parking lot.

9:05 a.m. Information, La Luz Drive - Caller's son ran away after telling parents he wanted to be taken to the Mexican border.
