The New Mexico Tourism Department will host a free digital education workshop in Taos Thursday morning (Dec. 12)  for businesses to expand exposure within Google’s products and improve conversion of digital audiences to actual customers.

A joint effort between New Mexico Tourism Department  and the Miles Partnership, the program will cover tips and best practices for getting the most out of opportunities within Google My Business, such as claiming and managing your account, obtaining and responding to reviews, improving photography, optimizing local guides, getting the most from posts and more.

Workshop leaders will also be providing on-site instant verification of Google My Business accounts. Business owners that need help with verification or have lost access to their business listing will need to bring one or more of the following documents: utility bill(s), tax letter(s) or business registration certificate(s)  and the login to the business Google account.

The event will be held at the Taos Convention Center,  (El Taoseño room), 120 Civic Plaza Drive, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The event is free but registration is required;  businesses can register at this link.
