Mill levy ballots still being counted

Posted

As of 9 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 6) the Taos County Clerk's office reported votes were still being tallied for the two mill levy mail in vote and that no official results were available.

Ballots were due to the clerk's office by 7 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 5).

The two mill levy vote was an option to renew the existing tax for Taos County School. Schools in the county use money from the mill levy tax to fund repairs and needed improvements at school campuses.

This is a developing story.
