Taos Ski Valley offers an array of package deals

Taos Ski Valley's skiing season is getting closer and closer, getting its start on Nov. 28. With that in mind, season passes are a great way to save money while also adding assurance that you can get out there more than once during the season.

There are nearly a dozen different season pass options, but to get the most bang for your buck the "Kachina Pass" offers zero blackout days and 50 percent off of buddy passes, among other discounts. There is also a "Value Pass," a "Zia Pass" and, for the kids, a "Youth Pass." They are also offering a "Military Pass" for active, reserve and retired members of the military. Angel Fire Resort gets ready for ski season

Angel Fire Resort announced that it plans to open up its doors to skiers on Dec. 13 for the 2019-20 ski season, according to a press release. The end of the season is on March 22, 2020.

There is a plethora of passes available, including "The Parenting Pass," which allows "two parents to take turns coaching and skiing with their child, or it also allows parents to take turns on the mountain in a single day while the other stays behind to care for an infant or toddler who is too young to ski."

The ski resort is also offering discounts for military members and educators. If purchased before Dec. 13, educators can get a ski pass for just $99, while after opening day the price increases to $199; the discount is valid for K-12 teachers. Military members can get a ski pass for $299 before Oct. 31, and $599 any time after that; this discount is valid for active duty, reserve, veterans and retired military members.
