Smoke from Francisquito Fire to dissipate

The Francisquito fire burning dozens of miles west of Taos had reached 2,000 acres by Sunday. The lightning caused fire is being managed to benefit fire-adapted forest.
Smoke from the  Francisquito Fire burning southwest of Taos was expected to impact the Taos Valley less Sunday (July 21) than the prior couple of days now that ground and aerial ignitions had been completed, according to Carson National Forest officials.
